Abstract
Stambene štedionice kao vrsta kreditne institucije svoje podrijetlo vuku još od sredine 18. stoljeća i to iz Birminghama (Velika Britanija) koji se tada nosio s problematikom smještajnog kapaciteta za sve veći broj radnika koji su bili privučeni velikim brojem poslova u metalnoj industriji. S vremenom, postao je trend da stambene štedionice posluju unutar portfelja određene banke, a ne više samostalno. Kontinuirana potražnja za proizvodima koje nudi stambene štedionice upućuje na sve veći broj klijenata koji se kroz ovaj mehanizam žele domoći svoje (vjerojatno) prve nekretnine. U ovom radu će se, osim bavljenja postupcima analize financijskih izvještaja, osvrnuti i na zakonski okvir po kojem posluju stambene štedionice u Republici Hrvatskoj, kao i na sustav poticanja stambene štednje od strane države.
Abstract (english)
Building societies are types of credit institutions that were originally founded in the mid-18th century in Birmingham (United Kingdom), which was inluenced with the problem of accommodation capacity for a growing number of workers who were attracted by the large number of jobs in the metal industry. In time, it became a trend that building societies operating within the portfolio of a bank, and not independently. Continuous demand for products offered by building societies points to the growing number of clients through this mechanism because they want to get hold of their (probably) the first real estate. This work, in addition is dealing with the procedures of financial statement analysis, and look at the legal framework by which they operate savings banks in the Republic of Croatia, as well as to stimulate housing savings system of the state.
