Abstract
Poljoprivreda je jedna od najstarijih gospodarskih grana, točnije stara je upravo onoliko koliko i čovječanstvo. Neosporno je govoriti o njezinoj važnosti za čovječanstvo. Od samog početka ljudi su se bavili lovom i skupljanjem plodova kako bi preživjeli, sve dok nisu došli do spoznaje da se hranu može uzgojiti. Razvoj poljoprivrede tekao je usporedno s razvojem čovječanstva, od primitivnih začetaka pa sve do globalnog razvoja poljoprivrede. Ekološka poljoprivreda je sve prihvatljivija u Hrvatskoj, a u svijetu je već neko vrijeme popularna. U današnje vrijeme, ljudi su sve svjesniji svoga postojanja i važnosti zdrave prehrane kao sastavnog dijela života. U Hrvatskoj se mnoga obiteljsko poljoprivredna gospodarstva pokušavaju probiti na tržište i stvoriti tržišnu nišu, ali uvozni prehrambeni proizvodi su još uvijek cjenovno prihvatljiviji potrošačima, nego domaći ekološki proizvodi. Prisutna je velika potrošačka nesvjesnost, ali polako se i to mijenja, te bi ekološka proizvodnja s domaćih farmi i OPG-ova mogla napredovati i postati prihvatljivija potrošačima.
Abstract (english)
Agriculture is one of the oldest economic branches, more precisely the old is just as much as humanity. It is indisputable to talk about its importance to humanity. From the start people have been engaged in hunting and gathering fruits to survive until they come to the knowledge that the food can be grown. The development of agriculture went hand in hand with the development of mankind, from the primitive inception to the global development of agriculture. Ecological agriculture is more and more acceptable in Croatia, and has been popular in the world for some time. Nowadays, people are increasingly aware of their existence and the importance of healthy eating as an integral part of life. In Croatia, many family farms attempt to penetrate the market and create a market niche, but imported food products are still more affordable for consumers than domestic ecological products. There is a large consumer awareness, but it is slowly changing, and organic production from domestic farms and OPGs can progress and become more acceptable to consumers.
