Abstract
Predmet istraživanja završnog rada predstavlja teorijsku tematiku vezanu za event menadžment i njegovu povezanost sa kulturnim razvojem. Kada se prisustvuje događanju njime se želi sudioniku pružiti najbolje moguće iskustvo, ali da bi došlo do tog najboljeg mogućeg iskustva potrebna je velika priprema i organizacija koju mora proći event menadžer i njegov tim. Cilj ovog završnog rada je upravo u mega-eventima, odnosno kako se pomoću njih može povećati kulturni razvoj, a to je ovdje predstavljeno putem Europske prijestolnice kulture čiji je nositelj grad Rijeka iz Republike Hrvatske. Poticanje na veću angažiranost u samim događanjima i poticanje na kulturno i umjetničko djelovanje kao smjer razvoja Republike Hrvatske predstavlja nešto što se ovim završnim radom želi ostvariti ili navesti na razmišljanje.
Abstract (english)
The subject of research on final paper is the theoretical topic related to event management and its association with cultural development. When attending the event, he or she wants to give the participant the best possible experience, but in order to achieve the best possible experience, a great preparation and organization is required by the event manager and his team. The main goal of this final paper is in mega-events, but not just in mega-events but also in how can they increase cultural development, which is represented here through the European Capital of Culture, which title holder is the city of Rijeka from the Republic of Croatia. Encouraging greater engagement in the events themselves and encouraging cultural and artistic activities as the direction of the development of the Republic of Croatia is something that is intended to be accomplished or put into thinking by this final paper.
