The final paper, titled Challenges in Building a Professional Career for Generation Z, explains terms related to Generation Z, previous generations, and specifics related to the aforementioned generations. It also compares Generation Z and Generation X or Millennials. Two closely related generations that have many similarities, but also many differences. The assumption of this paper is that the compared generations have many more similarities than differences and that their work habits and behaviour in the workplace are very similar. In addition, the answers to the questions in the survey conducted among a sample of 40 students from the Faculty of Economics in Osijek, who belong to Generation Z, are presented. The data collected through the survey were analysed using appropriate methods. The first part of the questions was related to the way Generation Z thinks about various topics such as social networks and what are the biggest challenges when applying for a job. The second part included questions about the importance of different parameters in employment. The third and final part of the questions focused on preferences in the workplace and what would be the first reasons they would quit their job. The aim of the paper is to familiarise the reader with a generation that often has a bad reputation in the media due to some of its characteristics, which will be described and explained below. It should also be pointed out that Generation Z is not a passive generation, but knows what it wants and how to get it. This generation is most familiar with technology because they have grown up with it and know what opportunities it offers and how to use it properly. It is also important to emphasise that this generation prefers live oral communication rather than online.
