Abstract
Osiguranje se sa stajališta pojedinca može definirati kao uplata određene svote novca u zamjenu za zaštitu od rizika. Upravo transfer rizika predstavlja najvažniju značajku osiguranja, jer se rizik transferira s osiguranika na osiguravatelja, pri čemu su interesi osiguranika zaštićeni. Najvažnija podjela osiguranja odnosi se na životna i neživotna osiguranja, a osiguravajuće društvo može obavljati poslove za onu vrstu osiguranja za koju ima ovlaštenje od nadzornog tijela. U radu će se analizirati dva osiguravajuća društva, Allianz Zagreb d.d. i Uniqa d.d. s ciljem pozicioniranja istih na tržištu osiguranja Republike Hrvatske. Analiza će se provesti na temelju financijskih izvještaja te određenih pokazatelja poslovanja. Analiza na temelju financijskih izvještaja provodi se na bilanci i računu dobiti i gubitka u obliku horizontalne i vertikalne analize. Pokazatelji poslovanja korišteni u radu su koeficijent zaduženosti, neto profitna marža, ekonomičnost ukupnog poslovanja te koeficijent obrtaja ukupne imovine.
Abstract (english)
Insurance from an individual's point of view can be defined as a payment of a certain amount of money in exchange for risk-protection. The transfer of risk is the most important feature of insurance, because the risk is transferred from the insured to the insurer, where the interests of the insured are protected. The most important insurance division refers to life and non-life insurance, and the insurance company may carry out business for the type of insurance it is authorized by the supervisory authority. The paper analyzes two insurance companies, Allianz Zagreb d.d. and Uniqa d.d. with the aim of positioning them on the insurance market of the Republic of Croatia. The analysis will be carried out on the basis of financial statements and certain business indicators. The analysis on the basis of the financial statements is carried out on the balance sheet and profit and loss account in the form of horizontal and vertical analyzes. The business indicators used in the work are indebtedness coefficients, net profit margins, economy of total business and the ratio of total assets turnover.
