Abstract
Hrvatska je tradicionalno turistička zemlja i danas je turizam glavni izvor prihoda našeg gospodarstva. U očima većine turista koji posjećuju našu zemlju i dalje smo percipirani kao zemlja mora i sunca, te kao ljubazni domaćini. Važno je odabrati odgovarajući smjer u kojem želimo razvijati našu ponudu i turistički proizvod kako bi ostvarili svoj puni potencijal kao turistička destinacija. Kvalitetna usluga i zadovoljstvo naših gostiju prije svega mora postati prioritet, ne možemo pričati samo o broju dolazaka i noćenja. Turizam je dakle poprilično heterogena pojava što znači da se njegovim djelovanjem razvijaju i brojne druge gospodarske grane. Trenutna koncepcija ponude na našoj obali prilagođena je većem broju turista odnosno za masovni turizam. S druge strane još uvijek je nedovoljno razvijena ponuda za elitne goste, odnosno za goste dubljeg džepa. Razvijanjem kvalitetnog turističkog proizvoda i odgovarajućim marketinškim djelovanjem u budućnosti imamo priliku zadržati pozitivne trendove razvoja turizma u Hrvatskoj te se pozicionirati kao prepoznatljiva turistička destinacija u Europi i svijetu koja ima za ponuditi puno više od sunca i mora.
Abstract (english)
Croatia is a traditional tourist country and today tourism is the main source of income for our economy. In the eyes of most tourists visiting our country, we are still considered as the land of the sea and the sun, same as a kind hosts. It is important to choose the right direction in which we want to develop our offer and tourist product to realize our full potential as a tourist destination. Quality service and the satisfaction of our guests must be a priority, we should not only talk about the number of arrivals and overnight stays. Tourism is therefore a rather heterogeneous phenomenon, which means that many other economic branches are being developed through its activities. The current offer concept on our coast is adapted to a large number of tourists, for mass tourism. On the other hand, there is still an insufficiently developed offer for elite guests, guests with deeper pockets. By developing a quality tourism product with an appropriate marketing activities in the future, we have the opportunity to keep positive trends of tourism development in Croatia and to position ourselves as a recognizable tourist destination in Europe and the world that has to offer much more than sun and sea.
