Sustainable development is increasingly mentioned today. It is an exceptionally important factor when talking about how countries function, but also the whole world. People are not educated enough, and they do not know what the term implies, as well as what other problems might come up with its implementation. Sustainability is evident in four principles, which are: ecological sustainability, sociocultural sustainability, economic sustainability, and technological sustainability. In order to understand the term, it is important to comprehend the four principles to know that sustainability could not be achieved without its input. When dealing with sustainability in tourism, the main part is carried out by tourists; the positive part, as well as the negative. Installing recycling stations with bins for separating garbage might be of great help, but if tourists do not have the habit of separating garbage in their own country, it is to be expected that they would not do it in a foreign country. That is why every country should create their own ways of implementation that are in accordance with sustainability, but in a way that it works the best for each country, respectively. The goal of sustainability is not to have strict rules that rarely any country complies with, but to adjust to every single county individually in order to enable a better, and more sustainable living.
