Abstract
U većini zemalja, banke su dominantne financijske institucije koje pružaju niz bankarskih usluga i obnašaju brojne bankarske funkcije. Osim bankarskih usluga, banka može pružati i ostale financijske usluge koje su dozvoljene Zakonom o kreditnim institucijama. U ovom radu je provedena analiza poslovanja Erste&Steiermarkische banke d.d. Erste&Steiermarkische bank d.d. osnovana je 2003. godine spajanjem Riječke banke d.d. i tadašnje Erste&Steiermarkische banke. Od samog početka banka posluje kao dio Erste grupe i prve Austrijske štedne banke. Što se tiče udjela u bankarskoj aktivi, Erste&Steiermarkische banka zauzima treće mjesto u Hrvatskoj. Prema kriteriju usporedivih značajki banka, Erste&Steiermarkische banka svrstava se u velike banke. Poslovanje Erste&Steiermarkische banke analizirat će se na temelju sljedećih pokazatelja: strukture aktive banke, visine ukupne imovine, udjela imovine banke u ukupnoj bankarskoj aktivi, financijskog rezultata, pokazatelja rentabilnosti imovine i visini osnovnog kapitala.
Abstract (english)
In most countries, banks are dominant financial institutions which offer lots of banking services and provide a lot of banking functions. Except banking services, the bank can offer other financial services which are regulated by Credit Institutions Law. In this paper was made a business analysis of Erste&Steiermarkische Bank Plc. Erste&Steiermarkische Bank was founded in 2003, after the merger of the Bank of Rijeka and Erste&Steiermarkische Bank. From the beginning, the Bank is a member of Erste Group and the First Austrian Savings Bank. Erste&Steiermarkische Bank holds the 3rd place in Croatia by their share in banking assets. According to groups of peer banks, Erste&Steiermarkische Bank belongs to large banks. Business analysis of Erste&Steiermarkische Bank will be shown by using several indicators of operations such as: assets structure, movement of total assets, share in total banking assets, financial result, profitability of assets and movement of base capital.
