Abstract
Pojavom Interneta dolazi do velikih promjena u svim područjima, od tehnoloških, financijskih, ekonomskih, socioloških pa sve do načina na koje se dolazi do informacija. Informacije se koriste na brži i jednostavniji način, a tome doprinose i društvene mreže, čiji se broj povećava, a povećava se i broj korisnika društvenih mreža. Korisnici društvenih mreža prihvaćaju brojne prednosti koje im donose društvene mreže, te ih sve više koriste za komunikaciju s drugima, za informiranje, edukaciju, kupovinu, promociju itd, odnosno postaju sve veći izvor informacija i podataka. Kako bi korisnici uživali u pogodnostima koje im donose društvene mreže potrebno je navođenje raznih osobnih podataka i dijeljenje raznih sadržaja, u svrhu pristupa društvenim mrežama odnosno kreiranja korisničkog računa i stupanja u komunikaciju s drugim korisnicima. Upravo otkrivanjem osobnih podataka korisnici smanjuju sigurnost podacima i susreću se s raznim prijetnjama koje su prisutne na društvenim mrežama i zbog toga je potrebno obratiti više pozornosti na zaštitu i sigurnost. Korisnici nisu bespomoćni i ugroženi na Internetu, na raspolaganju su im razne mogućnosti zaštite osobnih podataka, prvenstveno upravljanjem postavkama privatnosti. Donošenjem zakona, djelovanjem agencija i udruga, informiranjem i edukacijom korisnika doprinosi se informacijskoj sigurnosti kojoj se pridaje sve više pozornosti. Bitno je educirati korisnike Interneta o informacijskoj sigurnosti jer su upravo oni ti koji su najvećim dijelom zaslužni za sigurnost svojih podataka.
Abstract (english)
With the advent of the Internet, there are major changes in all areas, from technological, financial, economic, sociological to the way information is obtained. Information is used in a faster and easier way, and social networks are contributing to this, whose number is increasing and the number of social network users is increasing. Social network users are embracing the many benefits that social networks bring to them and they are increasingly use them to communicate with others, for information, education, shopping, promotion, etc., that is, they are becoming an increasing source of information and data. In order to enjoy the benefits of social networking, users need to provide various personal information and share content, in order to access social networks, create an account and interact with other users. It is through the disclosure of personal information that users reduce data security and face the various threats that are present on social networks and therefore need to pay more attention to protection and security. Users are not helpless and endangered on the Internet; they have various options for protecting personal information, primarily by managing their privacy settings. The adoption of laws, the activities of agencies and associations, information and education of users contributes to information security, which is receiving increasing attention. It is important to educate Internet users about information security, because they are the ones most responsible for the security of their information.
