This paper aims to explain the concept of augmented reality and talk about the ways of using multimedia in augmented reality mobile applications, the final result will be an augmented reality application which uses all of different types of media, to create multimedia. The first part which is theoretical will first give information about augmented reality, explain it's concept and give various examples of it's usage. Next is multimedia, what it is and what are the types of multimedia, with emphasis on 3D models since they are the most dominant type of multimedia used in AR applications (Augmented reality). After that, some insight into Unity and Vuforia will be given. Vuforia is a software development kit that is integrated into Untiy and is used for development of AR applications. The theoretical part ends with some details about exporting the application. The pratctial part will start with setting the goal and explaining the desired funcionality of the finished application. The application will be made using the aforementioned software, Unity, more specifically, Vuforia SDK (Software development kit). Vuforia Developer Portal will also be used in the project, for importing the multimedia into the application. The practical part ends with saving the application in the correct format and installing it on the Android platform with a demonstration of the desired functions set in the beginning of the practical part. The final part will discuss the benefits of different multimedia types in AR applications and compare augmented reality with it's counterpart, virtual reality.
