Abstract
Rad prolazi kroz povijesni pregled nafte i za što nam je ona potrebna. Tako je objašnjena uloga nafte u Prvom i Drugom svjetskom ratu te važnost posjedovanja iste. Uloga Bliskog istoka koji obiluje dokazanim naftnim nalazištima je isto tako objašnjena. Također je opisana uloga nafte u svjetskom gospodarstvu, s naglaskom na to kako nafta oblikuje današnji svijet. Objašnjena su i tržišna kretanja nafte, odnosno ponuda i potražnja za istom. Opisani su i analizirani čimbenici koji utječu na formiranje cijene nafte i naftnih derivata, s naglaskom na novi element formiranja cijena koji je došao u prvi plan odnedavno. Rad analizira cijenu barela nafte sve do pojave krize uzrokovane koronavirusom. Objašnjava se monopolističko ponašanje OPEC-a i „sedam sestara“ te naftni šokovi koji su utjecali na veće regulacije tržišta. Naposljetku, opisani su geopolitički segmenti nafte te na koji način se naftna pregovaranja koriste u svijetu i danas.
Abstract (english)
The work goes through a historical overview of oil and what we need it for. The role of oil in the First and Second World Wars and the importance of owning it are explained. The role of the Middle East, which is rich in proven oil fields, has also been explained. The role of oil in the world economy is also described, with an emphasis on how oil shapes the world today. The market trends of oil are also explained, ie the supply and demand for it. Factors influencing the price formation of oil and petroleum products are described and analyzed, with an emphasis on a new element of price formation that has come to the fore recently. The paper analyzes the price of a barrel of oil until the onset of the coronavirus crisis. The monopolistic behavior of OPEC and the "seven sisters" and the oil shocks that affected greater market regulation are explained. Finally, the geopolitical segments of oil are described and how oil negotiations are used in the world today.
