The development of many technologies has led to major changes not only in industry, but also in everyday life – from steam machine from which everything started to the internet that connected the whole world. Today we live in the time of the fourth industrial revolution, which is also called industry 4.0. Industry 4.0 is the most advanced revolution yet The technologies brought to us by industry 4.0 have not only made our production process easier, but also our daily lives. One of the greatest achievements of industry 4.0 is the connection between machines, warehouses and logistics, e.g. independent exchange of information between machines and between machines and people. Such machines are used in so-called smart factories. They automated all production and reduced the need for a number of human labour forces. Products from such factories come out faster, are of better quality and adapt to customer needs. The Internet of things has contributed to the management of a large dataset. Internet things connect devices and users connected online and enable data storage in computer clouds, accessible to the Internet. Due to the development of information technologies, it is expected to facilitate communication between people and machines, but also between the machines. There are also numerous shortcomings in this industry that will need to be addressed, such as data protection and security, the need to train the workforce and to disrupt customer safety. Keywords:
