Entrepreneurship as a profession is becoming increasingly popular today, and many people are choosing to build a career in entrepreneurship. There are many reasons why people decide to start an entrepreneurial venture, some of them are: to realize their ideas, to do what interests them, to be their own boss, to plan their own working hours, to generate financial income, or they simply want to exploit a good business opportunity. An individual chooses the way to enter the world of entrepreneurship based on their characteristics, motivation and desire. Although majority prefer start-up a company, on they own and in that way to realize their ideas and do what they love the most, there are also other ways to start an entrepreneurial venture that also have their advantages. The models of entering an entrepreneurial venture are: starting an entrepreneurial venture with a start-up, going into an entrepreneurial venture by buying a franchise, entering entrepreneurship through inheriting family businesses, and entering an entrepreneurial venture by buying an already established company. This paper describes different models of starting an entrepreneurial venture, and its advantages and disadvantages. In addition, to advantages and disadvantages, this paper describes characteristic of entrepreneurs who started entrepreneurial venture in a certain way. For the purpose oft his paper, a qualitative research has been conducted by interviewing entrepreneurs who have initiated entrepreneurial career in different ways. The aim of the interviews was to find out the advantages and disadvantages of certain modeland personal characteristics of traits and individuals of entrepreneurs who opted for different entering models. The reason why I decided to write about these topics is that I just love entrepreneurship, and I want to build my career in that direction. The aim of this paper is to gain deeper understanding about entrepreneurship and ways to start an entrepreneurial venture, because different models of entrepreneurial entry should be analyse in depth when bringing decision on entrepreneurial career.
