Abstract
Kretanje ljudi, robe i informacija oduvijek predstavlja jednu od osnovnih komponenti ljudskog društva. S obzirom da gradovi predstavljaju područja gdje živi i radi velik broj ljudske populacije, isti su postali središta društvenih i gospodarskih aktivnosti koje su u velikoj mjeri ovisne o funkcionalnosti prometnog sustava. Upravo zbog nezaustavljivog rasta broja stanovnika i širenja gradskog područja postaje neophodno osigurati uvjete koji će omogućiti normalan usporedni razvoj urbanih područja i prometnog sustava. Shodno tome može se zaključiti da promet djeluje kao jedan od glavnih pokretača razvoja gradova na način da povezuje grad i njegove stanovnike te omogućava osnovne životne procese, dok mobilnost na urbanom području omogućuje pristup različitim gradskim sadržajima neophodnim za normalno odvijanje života građana. Nastavno na sve navedeno, razvoj mobilnosti je jedan od ključnih čimbenika poboljšanja života u gradovima, koji se sve češće suočavaju s ograničenjem prostora i resursa.
Abstract (english)
The movement of people, goods and information has always been one of the basic components of human society. Since cities represent areas where a large number of human population lives and works, they have become centres of social and economic activities that are largely dependent on the functionality of the transport system. Because of the unstoppable growth of the number of inhabitants and the expansion of the urban area, it is becoming necessary to provide conditions that will enable the normal comparative development of the transport system and urban areas. Consequently, it can be concluded that traffic acts as one of the main drivers of urban development in a manner that it connects the city and its inhabitants and enables basic life processes. Mobility in the urban area provides access to various urban facilities necessary for the normal course of life of citizens. In addition to all of the above, the development of mobility is one of the key factors in improving life in cities, which are increasingly facing limited space and resources.
