Abstract
Emocionalna inteligencija predstavlja sposobnost prepoznavanja, razumijevanja i kontrole vlastitih, ali i tuđih emocija. Emocionalna inteligencija znači sve emocionalne i socijalne vještine koje utječu na doživljaj sebe, kako se razvijamo, sklapamo odnose te nosimo sa situacijama u životu. Istraživanja pokazuju da su osobe s većom emocionalnom inteligencijom obično puno uspješnije od osoba kod kojih ove osobine nisu razvijene. Emocionalna inteligencija je sposobnost koja se razvija tijekom cijelog života, a može se usavršiti i vježbanjem. Postoje specijalizirane metode i programi za razvoj emocionalnih sposobnosti i vještina. Govorenje u javnosti mnogima izaziva strah i tremu i na to veliki utjecaj ima emocionalna inteligencija. Provedeno je istraživanje emocionalne inteligencije među studentima Ekonomskog fakulteta koje je pokazalo da studenti imaju osnovna znanja o emocionalnoj inteligenciji, a testiranjem emocionalne inteligencije daje se zaključiti da najmanje emocionalne inteligencije imaju pri stresnim situacijama.
Abstract (english)
Emotional intelligence is the ability to recognize, understand and control one's own and others' emotions. Emotional intelligence means all the emotional and social skills that affect the experience of ourselves, how we develop, make relationships and deal with situations in life. Research shows that people with higher emotional intelligence are usually much more successful than people who do not develop these traits. Emotional intelligence is an ability that develops throughout life, and can be perfected through exercise. There are specialized methods and programs for developing emotional abilities and skills. Speaking in public causes fear and anxiety to many and is greatly influenced by emotional intelligence. The paper will present aspects of emotional intelligence and its impact on public speaking. A study of emotional intelligence was conducted among students of the Faculty of Economics, which showed that students have basic knowledge of emotional intelligence, and testing of emotional intelligence suggests that they have the least emotional intelligence in stressful situations.
