Abstract
Oligopol je oblik dominantne tržišne strukture u kojoj prevladava mali broj proizvođača, gdje su proizvođači međusobno ovisni, ponašanja jednog od njih imaju utjecaja i na druge, a procesi ulaska i izlaska s tržišta su ograničeni. Proizvodi i usluge ovih proizvođača mogu biti ili homogeni ili diferencirani. Oligopolisti međusobno ovise jedni o drugima, jer odluka oligopolista nekog poduzeća o cijeni ili količini proizvoda utječe na sve dobiti drugih poduzeća iz oligopolske grane. Ono što je važno istaknuti jest da kada samo nekoliko poduzeća vlada u određenoj tržišnoj grani, postoji mogućnost njihova povezivanja radi povećanja cijena i ostvarivanja veće dobiti. Oligopol obuhvaća najveći dio ne konkurentskih grana. Oligopol čini mali broj velikih poduzeća, od kojih svako ima razmjerno veliki udio u ukupnom tržištu. Kao i u kratkom roku, i u dugom roku oligopol teži ostvarenju profita, međutim uspostavljanje ravnoteže na oligopolskom tržištu pozitivno djeluje na samo tržište te povećava i njegovu efikasnost.
Abstract (english)
An oligopoly is a form of dominant market structure in which a small number of producers predominate, where producers are interdependent, the behavior of one of them has an impact on the other, and the processes of entering and leaving the market are limited. The products and services of these manufacturers can be either homogeneous or differentiated. Oligopolists depend on each other because the decision of an oligopolist of a company on the price or quantity of a product affects all the profits of other companies in the oligopolistic branch. What is important to point out is that when only a few companies rule in a particular market branch, there is a possibility of connecting them in order to increase prices and make higher profits. The oligopoly covers most of the non-competitive branches. The oligopoly is made up of a small number of large enterprises, each of which has a relatively large share of the total market. As in the short run, the oligopoly strives to make a profit in the long run, but the establishment of balance in the oligopolistic market has a positive effect on the market itself and increases its efficiency.
