Abstract
Državni zavod za statistiku organizacija je državne uprave i samostalno obavlja svoje poslove u skladu sa Zakonom. Statistička istraživanja provodi redovito i u sura. Rad analizira mogućnosti vizualizacije podataka nacionalne statistike. Službena nacionalna statistika ima poseban značaj za svaku državu jer pruža uvid u stvarnu i objektivnu sliku stanja u društvu. Nacionalna statistika izvor je pouzdanih informacija koje služe i za donošenje odluka i vođenje politike. Utvrđeno je kako postoje različite mogućnosti vizualizacije podataka nacionalne statistike koje objavljuje Državni zavod za statistiku kao glavni nositelj službene statistike. Temeljni cilj vizualizacija podataka populariziranje je nacionalne i službene statistike. Vizualizacije se mogu podijeliti na plakate i postere, brošure i digitalne publikacije te statističke alate. Svaka vizualizacija posjeduje svoje karakteristike pa tako i prednosti, no isto je tako utvrđeno kako svaka od njih posjeduje i određene nedostatke. Ukupno postoji osamnaest vizualizacija koje je objavio Državni zavod za statistiku. Dvije od njih, Mladi i EU te Gospodarski pokazatelji, detaljnije su analizirani u radu s opisom mogućnosti i funkcionalnosti. U radu su istražene mogućnosti grafičke vizualizacije podataka nacionalne statistike te su na odabranim primjerima prikazane njihove osobitosti i mogućnosti preuzimanja podataka.
Abstract (english)
This paper deals with the possibilities of visualization of national statistics data. Official national statistics have a special significance for each country because they provide an insight into the real and objective picture of the situation in society. National statistics are a source of reliable information that serves both decision-making and policy-making. It was found that there are different possibilities of visualization of national statistics data. They are published by the Croatian Bureau of Statistics, which is the main holder of official statistics. The basic goal of data visualization is to popularize national and official statistics. Visualizations can be divided into posters and posters, brochures and digital publications, and statistical tools. Each visualization has its own characteristics and thus advantages, but it was also found that each of them has certain disadvantages. There are a total of eighteen visualizations published by the Central Bureau of Statistics. Two of them, Youth and the EU and Economic Indicators, are discussed in more detail and the possibilities and functionalities are presented. It is undeniable that visualizations contribute to the popularization of national statistics, but the question remains how accurate their contribution is. The best indicator would be the number of visits to the Bureau's website and profiles on social networks before and after the publication of the visualizations. Unfortunately, such data are not known.
