Abstract
Informacijski sustavi igraju važnu ulogu u informacijskom dobu, a još krajem 20. stoljeća, menadžeri nisu imali široko znanje o prikupljanju, obradi i distribuiranju informacija, dok je za to vrijeme napredna tehnologija bila zastupljena u tek pojedinim organizacijama. Proces upravljanja smatrao se komunikacijom licem u lice, s minimalnom upotrebom automatizacije u generiranju i korištenju informacija. Međutim, uzevši u obzir da se u današnjem svijetu zahtjevi i preferencije kupaca ubrzano... More mijenjaju i razvijaju, poslovni uspjeh usko je povezan s kvalitetom informacijskog sustava, odnosno ispravne uporabe informacija iz okruženja. Pri tome, danas je općeprihvaćeno da je znanje o informacijskim sustavima bitno za svakog dionika u organizaciji, posebno za menadžere, a navedeno se ogleda u činjenici da sve suvremene organizacije koriste informacijske sustave za opstanak i napredak. Također, s ubrzanjem poslovnih procesa, značaj informacijskih sustava drastično se povećao pa je većina organizacija bila primorana implementirati spomenute sustave u svoje poslovanje. Tako informacijski sustav svoju najveću važnost ima u uvođenju novih proizvoda i usluga pa organizacija koja želi poboljšati i osigurati budućnost mora uspostaviti širu perspektivu uz korištenje dobro osmišljenog i koordiniranog informacijskog sustava. Takav sustav olakšava analizu neovisnih procesa, poput informacija, za proizvodnju proizvoda ili usluga i organiziranih radnih aktivnosti. Sukladno tome, smatra se da informacijski sustavi mogu pomoći organizacijama da prošire svoj doseg na udaljene lokacije, ponude nove proizvode i usluge te preoblikuju poslove i tijekove rada, a navedeno svoju važnost posebno nalazi u nizu djelatnosti, posebice bankarstvu ili hotelijerstvu. Information systems play an important role in the information age, and as early as the end of the 20th century, managers did not have extensive knowledge of collecting, processing and distributing information, while at that time advanced technology was present in only a few organizations. The management process was considered face-to-face communication, with minimal use of automation in the generation and use of information. However, given that in today's world, customer requirements and... More preferences are rapidly changing and evolving, business success is closely linked to the quality of the information system, and the correct use of information from the environment. In doing so, it is now generally accepted that knowledge of information systems is important for every stakeholder in the organization, especially for managers, and this is reflected in the fact that all modern organizations use information systems for survival and progress. Also, with the acceleration of business processes, the importance of information systems has increased dramatically, so most organizations have been forced to implement these systems in their business. Thus, the information system has its greatest importance in the introduction of new products and services, so an organization that wants to improve and secure the future must establish a broader perspective using a well-designed and coordinated information system. Such a system facilitates the analysis of independent processes, such as information, for the production of valuable products or services and organized work activities. Accordingly, it is considered that information systems can help organizations expand their reach to remote locations, offer new products and services and reshape jobs and workflows, and this finds its importance in a number of activities, especially banking or hospitality.
