Abstract
Vrijednosni papiri predstavljaju imovinu koja njihovim vlasnicima donosi određene koristi. Ovisno o vrsti vrijednosnih papira to mogu biti dividende, kamate, glavnica itd. Trgovanje vrijednosnim papirima sve je popularnije, a može se odvijati na tržištu novca te na tržištu kapitala, također ovisno o vrsti vrijednosnog papira. U ovom diplomskom radu detaljnije će se govoriti o obveznicama koje predstavljaju dužničku vrstu vrijednosnih papira, što znači da vlasniku pripada pravo na povrat glavnice i pripadajuće kamate. Za svakog investitora koji se odluči uložiti u obveznicu bitna stavka ugovora jest kamatna stopa te datum dospijeća jer o njima ovisi koliki prinos će ostvariti. Obveznice koje nose viši prinos i rizičnije su stoga je na investitoru odluka hoće li preuzeti veći rizik te si time otvoriti mogućnost za veću zaradu ili će uložiti u nešto sigurnije obveznice te ostvariti niži prinos. Svrha ovoga rada jest upoznati čitatelja s pojmom obveznica, njihovim karakteristikama, modelom vrednovanja, prednostima koje nosi emitentima te vlasnicima, ali i s rizicima koje donose. Osim navedenog, u empirijskom dijelu rada analiziraju se državne te korporativne obveznice Zagrebačke burze kako bi se uvidjelo kolike je kamate i prinose moguće ostvariti njihovom kupnjom. Na temelju toga donesen je zaključak o temeljnim razlikama između promatranih obveznica s obzirom na analizirane stavke.
Abstract (english)
Securities are assets that bring certain benefits to their owners. Whatever the nature of the securities, they may be dividends, interest, capital, etc. Trading in securities is very popular and can take place in the money market or in the capital market, also irrespective of the type of security. In this thesis we will talk in more detail about bonds, which are a type of debt security. This means that bondholder has the right for refund of the principal and the related interest. For every investor who decides to invest in a bond, the essential point of the contract is the interest rate and the maturity date, as how much return they will get depends on them. Bonds with a higher yield are riskier, so investitor has to decide whether to take a higher risk and the possibility of getting a higher return or to go into slightly safer bonds that have a lower yield. The purpose of this paper is to acquaint the reader eith the definition of bonds, their characteristics, valuation model, the advantages it brings to their owners and issuers, but also the risk they bring. In the research part will be analyzed government and corporate bonds from the Zagreb Stock Exchange. They will be analyzed to see how much interest and return they have. Based on this, a conclusion will be made of the fundamental differences between the observed bonds.
