Abstract
Cilj ovog rada bio je detaljnim proučavanjem stručne literature i dosadašnjih istraživanja definirati komunikacijske vještine lidera, zašto su one važne te kako djeluju na njihove sljedbenike. Nadalje, cilj je bio pomoću empirijskog istraživanja ispitati teorijske pretpostavke o komunikacijskim vještinama lidera na temelju stavova stanovništva Republike Hrvatske. Komunikacija se može definirati kao dijeljenje misli ili informacija između dvije ili više osoba kako bi se došlo do međusobnog razumijevanja i željenog djelovanja. Ovladavanje poslovnom komunikacijom čini vođe, povećava njihovu sferu utjecaja i pomaže poboljšati učinkovitost na radnom mjestu. Dobre komunikacijske vještine pomažu u razvijanju boljeg razumijevanja i uvjerenja, inspiriraju na promjenu, akciju i slijeđenje načela i vrijednosti koje vođa želi usaditi. U nedostatku dobrih komunikacijskih vještina, vođa ne uspijeva ostvariti ciljeve koje su postavili on i organizacije što ga čini neučinkovitim vođom. Ispitanici ovog istraživanja pokazali su pozitivne stavove prema karakteristikama komunikativnog vođe. Komunikativni vođa je definiran kao onaj koji uključuje zaposlenike u dijalog, aktivno dijeli i traži povratne informacije, prakticira participativno donošenje odluka i percipira se kao otvoren i uključen.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this paper was to define the communication skills of leaders, why they are important and how they affect their followers by a detailed study of the professional literature and previous research. Furthermore, the aim was to use empirical research to examine theoretical assumptions about the communication skills of leaders based on the attitudes of the population of the Republic of Croatia. Communication can be defined as the sharing of thoughts or information between two or more people in order to arrive at mutual understanding and desired action. Mastering business communication makes leaders, increases their sphere of influence and helps improve efficiency in the workplace. Good communication skills help to develop a better understanding and belief, inspire change, action and follow the principles and values that the leader wants to instill. In the absence of good communication skills, a leader fails to achieve the goals set by him and the organization making him an ineffective leader. Respondents of this research showed positive attitudes towards the characteristics of a communicative leader. A communicative leader is specifically defined as one who engages employees in dialogue, actively shares and seeks feedback, practices participatory decision-making, and is perceived as open and involved.
