Abstract
Kultura je složen pojam koji spaja razne sfere čovjekova života i sastoji se od niza elemenata: povijest, religija, vrijednosti, društvene organizacije i jezik. Kultura definira i formira svakog pojedinca i igra ogromnu ulogu u njegovom učenju i odrastanju u socijalnoj zajednici. Stoga, važno je naglasiti kako se kultura ne stječe rođenjem ili genetskim nasljeđem, već je isključivo produkt odrastanja i upijanja znanja, običaja, vjerovanja i simbola u socijalnoj zajednici upravo zato postoje mnoge različite kulture i sukobi između kultura. Glavna istraživačka pitanju u ovom radu su kako kultura oblikuje percepcije, kako usađuje različite skupove vrijednosti i kako se te vrijednosti razlikuju od kulture do kulture. U vrijeme globalizacije, kada se susreću i isprepliću mnoge kulture, zanimljivo je proučiti na koji sve način različiti kulturni obrasci odražavaju na percepciju, vjerovanje i vrijednosti koje ljudi nose u sebi kao dio svog kulturnog identiteta. Svrha je ovog diplomskog rada je istražiti kako kultura oblikuje percepcije, usađuje skup vrijednosti pojedincima te kako se iste vrijednosti tumače u različitim kulturološkim i poslovnim sredinama.
Abstract (english)
Culture is a complex term that connects various spheres of human life and it consists of a number of elements such as: history, religion, values, social organizations and language. Culture defines and forms every individual and it plays a huge role in his learning and growing up in a social community. Therefore, it is important to emphasize how culture is not acquired by birth or genetic inheritance rather, it is exclusively a product of growing up and absorbing knowledge, customs, beliefs and symbols in the social community, that is why there are many different cultures and conflicts between cultures. Main research questions in this graduate paper are how does culture shape perceptions, how it instills different sets of values, and how these values differ from culture to culture. In times of globalization, when many cultures meet and intertwine, it is interesting to study how different cultural patterns reflect the perception, believes and values that people carry within themselves as part of their cultural identity. The purpose of this graduate paper is to investigate how culture shapes perceptions, instills a set of values in individuals and how the same values are interpreted in different cultural and business environments.
