The supply chain is not only the flow of resources as it is traditionally defined, but the management of the supply chain has transferred into a development of ability to exchange information, optimize processes, and ultimately manage the flow of goods, i.e. other necessary company resources. The importance of achieving a competitive advantage through quality supply chain management is difficult to achieve and can be seen by the increase in competition as a result of the technological revolution. Namely, under pressures of this nature, the company must take all possible steps to move as efficiently as possible both through the supply chain itself and through the activities that the company manages in the supply chain. Supply chain management activities are no longer just procurement and delivery, but a much more complex process. Planning the supply chain as such involves a lot of initiative in planning and managing the resources that are ultimately needed to meet end-user demand, then managing outsourcing that includes procurement activities, inventory management, and supplier relationship development. However, in order for the products to move through the supply chain in a way that is as efficient as possible, the activities of production planning, quality control and ultimately the delivery of products to end users who provide feedback are also included. The realization of the planned activities and their management is possible only with proper coordination, willingness of the company to cooperate and follow the wishes and needs of the market, which ultimately have the "main word" and provides everyone in the supply chain wanted information of significant value.
