Abstract
Rad se bavi izazovima otežanog pristupa izvorima financiranja koji je karakterističan za hrvatski sektor malih i srednjih poduzeća (MSP sektor). Naglasak je stavljen na start-up i novoosnovana poduzeća kao poslovne subjekte koje navedeni problem pogađa najviše, iako se problem manifestira na razini čitavog MSP sektora. Poslovni model start-up poduzeća je posebno osjetljiv na problem ograničenog pristupa kapitalu, budući da se radi o poduzećima koja još nisu ostvarila financijske rezultate, nego tek trebaju komercijalizirati svoje proizvode ili usluge. Pod uvjetom uspješnog ugovaranja vanjskog financiranja start-upovi mogu ostvariti potencijal brzog rasta koji podrazumijeva višestruku korisnost i profitabilnost u odnosu na uložena sredstva. U teorijskom dijelu rada su predstavljeni izazovi i ograničenja u pogledu pristupanja vanjskim izvorima financiranja kroz perspektivu modela životnog ciklusa start-up poduzeća. U praktičnom dijelu je prikazano financiranje start-up poduzeća na primjeru osječkog start-up poduzeća.
Abstract (english)
The challenge emphasized in this paper are the difficulties that Croatian SME's, primarily startups, face while trying to secure external financing. Startup business enterprises specifics include very high sensitivity to this challenge, since funds are the one condition that has to be met for them to successfuly deploy their innovativne products or services to market. Only then can startups proceed to grow. The first five chapters include theoretical display of typical challenges startups face while trying to get access to finance in the startup life cycle context, emphasizing the specific needs through four phases. Practical part of the paper presents a realword example of startup financing, based on information acquired through a live interview with the entrepreneur.
