Abstract
Potrošač nabavlja proizvod ili uslugu kako bi podmirio svoje vlastite potrebe, on može biti kupac nekog proizvoda ili neke usluge, a i ne mora jer je njegova glavna karakteristika korištenje proizvoda. U Republici Hrvatskoj zaštita potrošača je uređena nizom zakona, a pravna osnova zaštite potrošača veže se uz Zakon o zaštiti potrošača. Potrošači osnivaju razne udruge s ciljem informiranja drugih potrošača i zaštite svojih i njihovih prava i interesa, a udruge se mogu osnivati radi uzajamne potpore, ostvarivanja zajedničkih interesa i provođenja politike zaštite potrošača. Također postoji i Europski potrošački centar Hrvatska koji je dio mreže Europskog potrošačkog centra, a ta mreža se sastoji od 30 centara koji surađuju kako bi pružili pravovremene i adekvatne informacije potrošačima, te im pomažu pri rješavanju prekograničnih pritužbi i sporova.
Abstract (english)
A consumer acquires a product or service in order to satisfy his own needs, he may or may not be a customer of a product or a service because his main characteristic is the use of the product. In the Republic of Croatia, consumer protection is regulated by a number of laws, and the legal basis of consumer protection is linked to the Consumer Protection Act. Consumers establish various associations with the aim of informing other consumers and protecting their rights and interests, and associations can be established for mutual support, realization of common interests and implementation of consumer protection policies. There is also the European Consumer Center Croatia, which is part of the European Consumer Center network, and that network consists of 30 centers that cooperate to provide timely and adequate information to consumers, and help them resolve cross-border complaints and disputes.
