Abstract
Društveno poduzetništvo predstavlja koncept koji počiva na socijalnoj ekonomiji, održivom razvoju i suradnji s lokalnom zajednicom. Riječ je o pojmu koji se razvija u posljednjih nekoliko desetljeća, no u mnogim zemljama, uključujući i Hrvatsku, i dalje nije prepoznata njegova važnost i utjecaj koji može ostvariti na održivi ekonomski i društveni razvoj zemlje. Društveni poduzetnik razlikuje se od tradicionalnog poduzetnika u tome što fokus stavlja društvo kao svrhu njegovog poslovanja, dok tradicionalni poduzetnik teži, prije svega, ostvarivanju profita. Iako i tradicionalni poduzetnik može u svom poslovanju voditi računa o društvu u kojem djeluje, njegov primarni cilj je i dalje profit dok je društvenom poduzetniku profit samo sredstvo kojim ostvaruje svoj cilj poslovanja. Cilj rada je definirati koncept društvenog poduzetništva kao inovativnog pristupa korištenja poslovnih principa u svrhu rješavanja društvenih problema. Na primjerima dobre prakse u Hrvatskoj i svijetu u radu će se ukazati na važnost razvoja i promoviranja društvenog poduzetništva te će se prikazati kako djeluju društveni poduzetnici.
Abstract (english)
Social entrepreneurship is a concept based on social economy, sustainable development, and collaboration with the local community. It is a concept that has developed over the last decades, but in many countries, including Croatia, its importance, and the impact it can have on the sustainable economic and social development of the country are not yet recognized. A social entrepreneur differs from a traditional entrepreneur in that he focuses on society as the purpose of his business, while a traditional entrepreneur primarily seeks profit. A traditional entrepreneur may care about the society in which he operates, but his main goal is still profit, while for a social entrepreneur profit is only a means to an end, i.e., a means that can help him create social value. The aim of this paper is to define the concept of social entrepreneurship as an innovative approach that uses business principles to solve social problems. Using best practice examples from Croatia and around the world, the paper highlights the importance of developing and promoting social entrepreneurship, how social entrepreneurs operate and the problems they solve.
