Abstract
Ovaj završni rad analizira računalstvo u oblaku na primjeru Sveučilišnog računskog centra (SRCE). Računalstvo u oblaku je suvremeni koncept za stvaranje računalne arhitekture koja osigurava različite oblike raspoloživosti računalnih usluga i infrastrukture. Cilj ovog rada je opisati i prikazati koncepte i arhitekturu računalstva u oblaku te dati pregled računalne infrastrukture u oblaku koju pruža SRCE. Metodologija istraživanja temelji se na kvalitativnoj metodologiji koja uključuje analizu web stranice Sveučilišnog računskog centra u Zagrebu, koja je vezana uz arhitekturu računalstva u oblaku. U radu se analiziraju i prednosti i izazovi primjene računalstva u oblaku u SRC-u. Rezultati istraživanja pružaju uvid u to kako SRCE koristi arhitekturu računalstva u oblaku za pružanje usluga i podršku nastavi. Prednosti korištenja oblaka uključuju skalabilnost, fleksibilnost i smanjenje troškova, dok izazovi obuhvaćaju sigurnosne aspekte, upravljanje resursima i prilagodbu postojećih infrastrukturnih sustava. Razumijevanje računalstva u oblaku na primjeru SRC-a važno je za unaprjeđenje akademskih usluga u Hrvatskoj i za pružanje bolje podrške nastavi, istraživanjima i razvoju.
Abstract (english)
This final paper analyzes cloud computing on the example of the University Computing Centre (SRCE). Cloud computing is a modern concept of creating a computer architecture that ensures various forms of availability of computer services and infrastructure. The aim of this paper is to describe and present the concepts and architecture of cloud computing and to provide an overview of the cloud computing infrastructure provided by SRCE. The research methodology is based on a qualitative methodology that includes the analysis of the web pages of the University Computing Center in Zagreb, which is related to the architecture of cloud computing. In this paper, the advantages and challenges of cloud application in SRCE are analyzed. The research results provide insight into how SRCE uses a cloud computing architecture to deliver services and support teaching. The advantages of using the cloud include scalability, flexibility and cost reduction, while the challenges include security aspects, resource management and the convenience of existing infrastructure systems. Understanding cloud computing on the example of SRCE is important for improving academic services in Croatia and for providing better support for teaching, research and development.
