Abstract
Danas se poslovne tehnologije zajedno s informacijskom i telekomunikacijskom tehnologijom sve više i više preklapaju. Informacijska tehnologija postaje ključni element lanca dizajna neke usluge, proizvoda i stvaranja profita. Poslovni informacijski sustav poduzeća upravlja tokovima informacija i podataka od njihovog izvora do menadžera koji će ih upotrebljavati. Zadatak je informacijskog sustava osigurati potrebne informacije za upravljanje poslovnim sustavom. Zarade poslovnih organizacija rastu, ne samo zahvaljujući rezanju troškova i optimizaciji upravljanja, nego i zahvaljujući implementaciji modernih informacijskih tehnologija i sustava. Iako je svako poduzeće jedinstveno u svojim financijskim i gospodarstvenim aktivnostima, postoji niz problema zajedničkih za sva poduzeća. To uključuje upravljanje materijalnim i financijskim sredstvima, nabavom, marketingom i sl. ERP sustavi omogućavaju sveobuhvatno upravljanje ključnim aspektima financijske, proizvodne i komercijalne aktivnosti poduzeća. Ovi sustavi pružaju menadžerima potpune i pravovremene informacije za donošenje odluka i osiguravaju učinkovitu razmjenu podataka s poslovnim partnerima. Poduzeća u suvremenom poslovnom okruženju sve se više oslanjaju na poslovne informacijske sustave koje podržava informacijska i telekomunikacijska tehnologija, stoga zatajenje informacijskih sustava za poduzeća predstavlja veliku opasnost jer je njihova pojava učestala i izaziva značajne financijske gubitke. Zbog toga se javlja novo svojstvo poslovnih informacijskih sustava koje se naziva oslonjivost.
Abstract (english)
Nowadays, business technologies together with the information and telecommunications technologies, overlap even more. Information technology becomes a key element of a design of a service, product and making a profit. Enterprise information system manages information and data flow from their source to the manager who uses them. The aim of the information system is to assure data and information needed for enterprise well-being. Profits od business organisations grows, not only due to cost-cutting and optimization of management, but also thanks to the implementation of modern information technologies and systems. Although each company is unique in its financial and economc activities, there are a number of problems common to all companies. This includes the management of material and financial resources, purchasing, marketing etc. ERP systems allow comprehesive management of key aspects of financial, production and commercial activities of the company. These system provide managers complete and timely information for decision-making and ensure data exchange with business partners. Companies in the modern business environment are increasingly reliant on enterprise information systems that support the information and telecommunications technology, therefore failure of information systems for companies represents a great threat because of their frequent occurence and because of significant financial losses it causes. Therefore, new attribute of enterprise information system occurs – information system dependability.
