Abstract
ICT (Informacijsko-komunikacijska tehnologija) industrija u Hrvatskoj predstavlja ključni sektor gospodarstva koji se kontinuirano razvija. Industrija se sastoji od brojnih tvrtki koje se bave razvojem softvera, pružanjem IT usluga, proizvodnjom računalne opreme te telekomunikacijama. U proteklim godinama, Hrvatska je postala sve atraktivnija destinacija za strane investicije u ICT sektoru, zahvaljujući svojoj kvalificiranoj radnoj snazi, povoljnom geografskom položaju i sve boljoj digitalnoj infrastrukturi. Veliki broj mladih stručnjaka iz područja informatike i računalnih znanosti doprinosi rastućoj konkurentnosti sektora. Uz to, hrvatske ICT tvrtke često surađuju s međunarodnim partnerima i izvoze svoje proizvode i usluge na globalno tržište. To dodatno pridonosi ekonomskom rastu i internacionalizaciji industrije. Unatoč mnogim pozitivnim aspektima, izazovi poput nedostatka odgovarajuće digitalne pismenosti i potrebne regulatorne podrške i dalje postoje. Ipak, ICT industrija u Hrvatskoj ostaje perspektivna i važna komponenta gospodarstva, s potencijalom za daljnji rast i razvoj.
Abstract (english)
The ICT (Information and Communication Technology) industry in Croatia is a key sector of the economy that is continuously developing. The industry consists of numerous companies engaged in software development, IT service provision, computer equipment manufacturing and telecommunications. In recent years, Croatia has become an increasingly attractive destination for foreign investments in the ICT sector, thanks to its qualified workforce, favorable geographical location and increasingly better digital infrastructure. A large number of young experts in the field of informatics and computer sciences contribute to the growing competitiveness of the sector. In addition, Croatian ICT companies often cooperate with international partners and export their products and services to the global market. This additionally contributes to economic growth and the internationalization of the industry. Despite many positive aspects, challenges such as the lack of adequate digital literacy and the necessary regulatory support still exist. Nevertheless, the ICT industry in Croatia remains a promising and important component of the economy, with the potential for further growth and development.
