Abstract
Franšiza je oblik poslovanja koji se razvio tijekom proteklog stoljeća i koji je postao popularan diljem svijeta kao način pokretanje vlastitog poslovanja pod poznatim imenom i dokazanim poslovnim modelom. Prikazane su razlike između kupovine franšize i pokretanja vlastitog poduzetničkog pothvata, odnosno prednosti i nedostatci kupovine franšize kao i pokretanja vlastitog poduzetničkog pothvata. Također, opisan je nastanak i povijest franšize u svijetu i Hrvatskoj, te pojam i razvoj poduzetništva. U radu su objašnjene različite strategije ulaska u poduzetnički pothvat. Jedna od njih je kupnja franšize koja nudi mnoge prednosti u poslovanju, ali također dolazi sa značajnim rizicima. Stvaranje nove tvrtke od nule također je jedna od opcija za osobe koji žele biti poduzetnici. Međutim, to dolazi s velikim izgledima za neuspjeh jer je teško predvidjeti koliko će posao biti uspješan. Kroz praktičan primjer uspoređuje se način pokretanja poduzetničkog pothvata. Analizirane su prednosti i nedostatci oba pristupa te su pružene informacije koje će čitateljima pomoći u donošenju informirane odluke. Također, u istraženi su ključni čimbenici koji utječu na tu odluku, kao što su rizik, podrška i resursi, brand i tržište, te financijski aspekt.
Abstract (english)
Franchising is a form of business that has developed over the past century and has become popular all over the world as a way to start your own business under a well-known name and a proven business model. The differences between buying a franchise and starting your own entrepreneurial venture are shown, that is, the advantages and disadvantages of buying a franchise as well as starting your own entrepreneurial venture. It also describes the origin and history of franchising in the world and in Croatia, as well as the concept and development of entrepreneurship. This paper explains different strategies for entering into an entrepreneurial venture. One of them is buying a franchise, which offers many advantages in business, but also comes with significant risks. Creating a new company from scratch is also one of the options for people who want to be entrepreneurs. However, this comes with a high chance of failure as it is difficult to predict how successful the business will be. Through a practical example, the method of starting an entrepreneurial venture is compared. The advantages and disadvantages of both approaches are analyzed and information is provided to help readers make an informed decision. Also, the key factors influencing that decision, such as risk, support and resources, brand and market, and the financial aspect, are investigated.
