Abstract
Multinacionalne kompanije kao snažni pokretači gospodarstava kroz najnaprednije tehnologije, znanja i vještine, ali i kao tvorci novih trendova, potreba, imidža, prestiža i osobnog identiteta uvelike mijenjaju svijet u kojem živimo, način na koji razmišljamo i želje koje pretvaramo u potrebe. Sve navedeno za nekoga znači budućnost, prosperitet, nova znanja, ukidanje granica, dostupnost, povezanost, moć, novac, uspjeh; no za druge to znači život u prošlosti, siromaštvo, glad, bijedu, nemoć, bolest, očaj, izoliranost, marginalizaciju i osjećaj gubitka vlastitog identiteta. Tema rada su upravo oni čija je egzistencija ugrožena, čije je zdravlje narušeno i čija je zemlja devastirana korporacijskim djelovanjem, a sve u svrhu zarade. Iznesena stajališta su većinom u negativnom kontekstu, iako zasigurno postoje i pozitivne strane koje nisu tema ovog rada. Želja je predočiti kako multinacionalne kompanije utječu na zemlje Trećeg svijeta iako živimo u vremenu kada nitko ne bi trebao biti izguran iz slike sretnog svijeta u kojem nitko nije gladan i žedan.
Abstract (english)
Multinational companies as powerful initiators of economies through the most advanced technologies, knowledge and skills, but also as creators of new trends, needs, images, prestige and personal identity considerably change the world we live in, way we think and desires we turn into needs. All of the above for someone means future, prosperity, new knowledge, boundaries repeal, availability, connection, power, money, success; but for others it means life in past, poverty, hunger, misery, weakness, sickness, despair, isolation, marginalization and sense of loss their own identity. In the focus of this work are exactly those whose existence is threatened, those whose health deteriorated and those whose country was devastated with corporate activity and all in order to profit. Expressed views are presented in negative context, although certainly there are positive sides that are not theme of this work. Aim is to present how multinational companies impact on the Third World countries although we live in time when nobody needs to be pushed out of the picture of happy world, in which no one is hungry and thirsty.
