In today's world where globalization is an indispensable global process in every segment of life, it is of utmost importance to understand and live up to the rules imposed by multiculturalism and interculturalism. Between the seemingly similar terms, there are differences, which we will discuss, among other things. Through the aforementioned globalization, we are more confronted with other cultures and differences and everything that they carry with them. By joining the European Union, the doors of other dimensions of diversity that we meet on a daily basis have opened up, and it is therefore extremely important to understand the differences as well as to be intercultural. Older generations were found in systems where multiculturalism did not play a major role, but today it is extremely important to educate the youngest in the spirit of tolerance and empathy in order to accept the opportunities and difficulties that multiculturality brings with it. Being „culturally intercultural“ means communicating and listening to "the other," regardless of the race, religion, nationality and perception of life, and accept it by recognizing the same dignity we have for ourselves. If a one is raised in the spirit of tolerance to diversity, it will be much easier to adapt to such a way of life and thinking. Analyzing this topic, many issues of understanding and coexistence with people of other nationalities, religions and cultures are emerging, and responses to these problems carry with them the great obstacles and challenges that need to be overcome, especially in this area where there is still an impact Intolerance with regard to events from a relatively recent past.
