Abstract
Ovaj rad ima za svrhu istražiti trenutno stanje hrvatske poljoprivrede kao gospodarske djelatnosti te njezin značaj za gospodarstvo Republike Hrvatske. Taj značaj se kroz povijest mijenjao te je i danas određen nizom institucionalnih i ekonomskih uvjeta koji su zastupljeni u Republici Hrvatskoj. Najčešća mjera značaja je udio određene djelatnosti, u ovom slučaju poljoprivrede, u ukupnom BDP-u. Poljoprivredna aktivnost kontrolirana je mjerama agrarne politike, a susreće se s brojnim problemima, kao što su rascjepkanost zemljišta te zastarjela tehnologija. Razvoj poljoprivrede temelji se i na sredstvima iz programa ruralnog razvoja, odnosno sredstvima iz fondova Europske Unije. Unatoč tome postoji velika perspektiva i razni pravci u kojima bi se poljoprivreda mogla razvijati te tako povećati značaj za gospodarstvo Republike Hrvatske.
Abstract (english)
This paper aims to explore current state of Croatian agriculture as economic activity and its significance for the economy of the Republic of Croatia. This significance has been changing through the history and it is today determined by a series of institutional and economic conditions that are present in the Republic of Croatia. The most common measure of significance is portion of particular activity, in this case agriculture, in the total GDP. Agricultural activity is controlled by measures of agrarian policy, it faces numerous problems such as land fragmentation and obsolete technology. The development of agriculture is based on the funds from the rural development program, respectively resources from the European Union funds. Despite this there is a great perspective and various ways in which agriculture could develop and thus increase the importance for the economy of the Republic of Croatia.
