Abstract
U današnje vrijeme, nemogućnost pronalaska zaposlenja nakon završenog obrazovanja, nesigurna budućnost te nedostatak profesionalnog iskustva, koje nije stečeno tijekom formalnog obrazovanja, predstavljaju probleme s kojima se mladi susreću. Iako su visoka stopa nezaposlenosti mladih i njihova migracija u druge zemlje gorući problemi u Republici Hrvatskoj, postoje različite mogućnosti kako mladi mogu unaprijediti vještine, proširiti mrežu poznanstava i približiti se tržištu rada i prije prvog zaposlenja. Jedna od značajnijih je svakako studentsko volonterstvo koje studentima omogućava bavljenje širokim spektrom aktivnosti prilikom kojih se razvijaju tzv. meke vještine koje poslodavci sve više i više cijene. Cilj ovog rada je istražiti utjecaj volonterstva na razvoj poduzetničkih vještina. Prvi dio ovog rada analizirat će trenutno stanje volonterstva u Republici Hrvatskoj kao i značenje i koristi volonterstva, kako za volontera tako i za zajednicu u kojoj se volontira. U empirijskom dijelu ovog rada istražit će se stavovi studenata Ekonomskog fakulteta u Osijeku o volontiranju, motiviranosti za volontiranje te mogućnosti razvoja poduzetničkih vještina kroz volontiranje. Uz percepciju studenata o volontiranju identificirane su i poduzetničke vještine koje studenti posjeduju i koje mogu razvijati i unaprjeđivati putem aktivnog sudjelovanja u volonterskom radu.
Abstract (english)
Nowadays, the impossibility of finding employment, uncertain future and lack of professional experience that was not acquired during formal education represents problems that young people face with. Although the high rate of youth unemployment and their migration to the other countries are among biggest problems in the Republic of Croatia, there are different opportunities for youth to improve skills, expand network of contacts and get closer to the labour market even before their first employment. One of such opportunity is a student volunteerism which helps student engage in a broad spectrum of activities and develop so-called soft skills that employers highly appreciate. The main objective of this thesis is to explore the impact of volunteering on the development of entrepreneurial skills of young people. The first part of this paper will analyse the current situation of volunteering in the Republic of Croatia, as well as the importance and benefits of volunteering, for both the volunteers and the community in which the volunteers work. Empirical part of this paper will explore perception of students of Faculty of Economics in Osijek on volunteering, motivation for volunteering and opportunities for development of entrepreneurial skills through volunteering. The paper identifies entrepreneurial skills that students possess and that can be enhanced and developed through active volunteering activities.
