Due to the nature of my studying and paralell working in family company, I decided to write graduate paper based on college course „Business operation management“. The theme i choose to write about is „Business process management in manufacturing company“. As our family business has been developing through the years, i had the chance to see what is the importance of business operation management. Over the last two years, we have been facing the importance of managing operations on a daily basis, and the period of the next few months is extremely important for us – untill now we have been focused on „lohn business“, and from now on, it is changing, and we will be doing, to say like that, the whole process. In next few monts, we will have to organise whole procurement department. Al these changes will require quality operation management from us. So, on the period of last two years, and future few years i will base my graduate paper. Graduate work will be divided into two parts: theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, I will write about managing operations in general, while in the practical part, I will try to analyze the importance of managing operations in a family business and explain in brief our mode of operation management. Facing that we are now in the process of inducting the entire procurement department to our company (which until now, because of the nature of the business, we didn't have), part of my graduate paper will relate to that. I consider this a very interesting area, but also a very useful analysis for our company. I think it is very important to link the theory and practice. As I have been trying and doing this through my studying, I look at this as a kind of conclusion of what I have learned and what I will try to apply in a family business.
