Abstract
Nezaposlenost u današnje vrijeme predstavlja jedan od temeljnih makroekonomskih izazova te je kao takav česta tema različitih istraživanja, ne samo u Hrvatskoj, već i u svijetu. Nezaposlenost se definira kao stanje u kojem se dio radno sposobnih ljudi ne može zaposliti sukladno svojim sposobnostima i kvalifikacijama, uz primjerenu plaću. U prvom dijelu rada definira se predmet istraživanja i njegovi ciljevi. Daljnji dio rada empirijski je ustrojen; analizira se nezaposlenost u Osječko-baranjskoj županije iz perspektive različitih obilježja, kao što su dob, spol, obrazovna struktura, trajanje nezaposlenosti i prostorna nezaposlenost. U dijelu rasprave navedeni su ključni problemi koji utječu na nezaposlenost u navedenoj županiji te se stopa njezina nezaposlenosti uspoređuje sa stopama drugih županija Republike Hrvatske. U zaključku su rada navedena neka od mogućih rješenja koja bi pomogla u smanjenju nezaposlenosti.
Abstract (english)
The concept of unemployment is one of the fundamental macroeconomic challenges nowadays and as such is a frequent topic of various studies, not only in Croatia, but also in the world. Unemployment is defined as a condition in which a part of working-age people can not be employes in accordance with their skills and qualifications, with an adequate salary. The first part of the work defines the subject of the research and its aims. Further work is empirically structured, analyzing unemployment in Osijek-Baranja County, from the perspective of different characteristics, such as age, gender, educational structure and duration of unemployment. In the discussion section it is stated the key problems affecting unemployment in Osijek-Baranja County and compares its unemployment rate with the rates of other counties in the Republic of Croatia. The last part of work gives some possible solution that could help reduce unemployment.
