Abstract
U ovom radu pobliže ćemo objasniti pojam i značenje zaštite potrošača te stavke koje se usko vežu uz taj pojam. Definirati ćemo način na koji funkcioniraju udruge za zaštitu potrošača kako u Republici Hrvatskoj tako i u Europi odnosno Europskoj uniji. Potrošači koji predstavljaju ključnu snagu svakog gospodarstva odnosno jačine ekonomije svake države u ovom radu imaju ključnu ulogu. Njihovi običaji, navike te potrebe stvaraju potrebu za pojavom udruga za zaštitu potrošača odnosno nekim tijelom koje će stati ispred svih potrošača te na taj način braniti i zastupati njihove interese u sporovima. Naime istraživanjem provedenim prije početka pisanja diplomskoga rada dobili smo uvid u navike te poznavanje prava koja svaki potrošač ima te smo na osnovu tih informacija uvidjeli kako potrošači nisu dovoljno upućeni u svoja prava, određene zakone te odredbe koje bi im uvelike pomogle u borbi protiv prodavača odnosno proizvođača. No dolaskom na scenu udruga te raznih organizacija odnosno stupanjem Hrvatske u Europsku uniju možemo primijetiti veliki pomak te stupanj informiranosti hrvatskih potrošača u vezi njihovih prava.
Abstract (english)
In this research, it will be explained the concept and meaning of consumer protection of items that are closely related to this concept. The way in which consumer protection associations function will be explained, both in the Republic of Croatia and in Europe and the European Union. Consumers, who represent the main strength of each economy, play a key role in this research. Their customs, habits and needs create the need of emergence of a consumer protection association or organisations that will stand in front of all consumers and defend and represent their interests in disputes. Furthermore, the research which has been done before writing this research paper, gave an insight into the habits and knowledge of the consumer rights. Based on the these information, we realized that consumers are not sufficiently aware of their rights, certain laws and provisions that would help them fight against sellers, manufacturers, etc. However, with the arrival of the associations of various organisations when Croatia joined the European Union, we can notice a great shift of informated Croatian consumers about their rights.
