Abstract
Financijski izvještaji pružaju brojne mogućnosti za bolje razumijevanje poslovanja nekog poduzeća. Osim što kao finalni proizvod računovodstva, pružaju uvid u sve nastale poslovne događaje, financijski izvještaji služe i kao osnova za provođenje brojnih analiza. Rad je usmjeren na analizu poslovanja tvornica šećera u Republici Hrvatskoj korištenjem temeljnih instrumenata i postupaka analize financijskih izvještaja. U radu su prikazani i interpretirani financijski izvještaji i provedena analiza financijskih izvještaja na primjeru jedine tri hrvatske tvornice šećera; Sladorana d.o.o. Županja, Tvornica šećera Osijek d.o.o. Osijek i Viro tvornica šećera d.d. Virovitica, za razdoblje od 2014. do 2018. godine. U radu su analizirani financijski izvještaji bilanca i račun dobiti i gubitka te financijski pokazatelji likvidnosti, zaduženosti, aktivnosti, ekonomičnosti i profitabilnosti. Osnovni je cilj rada komparativnom analizom ispitati poslovanje tvornica šećera u Republici Hrvatskoj te dati zaključak na postavljenu pretpostavku u radu o isplativosti proizvodnje šećera u Republici Hrvatskoj. Analizom financijskih izvještaja dokazuje se kako u razdoblju od 2014. do 2018. godine postoji neisplativost u poslovanju tvornica šećera. Dokaz tome su smanjena proizvodnja šećera, negativni financijski rezultati i financiji pokazatelji.
Abstract (english)
Financial statements provide many opportunities for better understanding the business of a company. In addition to providing an insight into all business events as the final product of accounting, the financial statements also serve as a basis for conducting numerous analysis. The paper focuses on processing the business of the sugar factory in the Republic of Croatia using the basic instruments and procedures of analysis of financial statements. The paper presents and interprets the financial statements on the example of the only three Croatians sugar factories; Sladorana Ltd. Županja, Sugar factory Osijek Ltd. Osijek and Viro sugar factory Plc. Virovitica, for the period from 2014 to 2018. The paper analysis the financial statements of the balance sheet, as well as the profit and loss account and financial indicators, such as indicators of liquidity, indebtedness, activity, economy and profitability. The main goal of this paper is to examine the operations of sugar factories in the Republic of Croatia by comparative analysis but also to give a conclusion on the assumption in the paper on the profitability of sugar production in the Republic of Croatia. The analysis of the financial statements proves that in the period from 2014 to 2018 there is unprofitability in the operations of sugar factories. Proof of this are reduced sugar production, negative financial results and financial indicators.
