Due to the broad spectrum of business activities that encompasses public procurement from different scientific fields, the purpose of the graduate thesis is to express the importance of public procurement in economics, and why the consumption of financial resources from the state budget is spent. Given that the role of public procurement is reflected in the overall economic activities of each state, and is the main initiator of the realization of political goals. Because of all the above, this graduate work seeks to express the importance, role and importance of public procurement. Considering the importance of public procurement in the world economy, and respecting the participation of the Republic of Croatia in the European Union, the importance of the law in the public procurement of the Republic of Croatia is emphasized, with which the legislative framework of the European Union is bound, with their mutual compliance and connection. Implementing Regulations on Public Procurement in the Republic of Croatia are expressed, describing the Regulation on the List of Compulsors of the application of the Public Procurement Act, Public Procurement and Records, on the manner of drafting and acting with the documentation for competitions and bids, and on the implementation of supervision, the content of the content and the method of submitting a public procurement report and the conditions of application of a unique public procurement dictionary. The public procurement process also has an exceptional significance, with all necessary documentation, a request for initiating public procurement, the criteria that are taken into account for the selection of the offer, as well as the review and grades procedures, and ultimately display the importance of the Public Procurement Report. The public procurement process in the paper is expressed on the example of public procurement of HZ infrastructure d.o.o. in the City of Osijek in 2022. One example of several displayed public procurement contracts has been shown, and it refers to the mechanical cleaning of the provided belt in the NS Osijek area.
