Abstract
Današnje organizacije odlikuje multigeneracijska radna snaga te se po prvi puta u povijesti događa da zajedno rade četiri generacije – tradicionalisti, baby boomeri te pripadnici generacija X i Y. Svaka od ovih generacija ima određene karakteristike, što predstavlja problem organizacijama jer moraju pronaći način kako generirati takva radna mjesta i radno okruženje koje će izvući najbolje od svakog zaposlenika te pomiriti međusobne razlike. Poseban izazov organizacijama predstavlja generacija... More Y, za koju se vežu određeni stereotipi o načinu ponašanja te očekivanjima od radnoga mjesta. Ovaj rad fokusira se na definiranje generacije Y i njezinih očekivanja od radnoga mjesta. Pri tome se koristi sekundarno istraživanje provedeno od strane Delloite-a, koje je na svjetskoj razini prikazalo izazove s kojima se suočavaju organizacije u ispunjavanju očekivanja generacije Y. Također, provedeno je i primarno istraživanje na uzorku 250 studenata Ekonomskog fakulteta u Osijeku u svrhu ispitivanja njihovih očekivanja od radnoga mjesta. Rezultati su uspoređeni s rezultatima Delloite-ovog istraživanja te su prezentirane sličnosti i razlike. Less
Abstract (english)
Today’s organization is driven by the multigenerational workforce. For the first time in history, the four generations are working together – traditionalists, baby boomers, generation X and generation Y. Each of these generations has certain characteristics, which can cause a problem because organizations have to find a way to generate jobs and work environment that will bring out the best of each employee and reconcile their differences. Generation Y represents a special challenge because... More it is tied to a certain stereotype about the behavior and workplace expectations. This paper is focusing on the definition of generation Y and its workplace expectations. The secondary research conducted by Delloitte, which showed the challenges and expectations they have to deal with, has been used. Also, the primary research was conducted on a sample of 250 students of Faculty of Economics in Osijek, in order to test their expectations about the workplace. The results are compared to the results of Deloitte and conclusions are done. Less
