Business negotiations are an inevitable everyday occurrence in the business world. Since the frequency of negotiations cannot be influenced, the focus should be on their success. Negotiation also serves as a tool for solving problems of conflicting interests. It activates creativity in work, and also affects the improvement of interpersonal communication. Successful business negotiations are achieved by a reasonable agreement of two or more negotiating parties, whose goal is to jointly resolve conflicts of interest to mutual satisfaction. Also, it is very important that both parties have a clearly defined goal. One of the most important factors in business negotiations is communication itself. It can be verbal and nonverbal. Verbal communication is what is said in words, while non-verbal communication can be defined and explained as body language. The paper consists of a theoretical part in which the concepts of business negotiations and non-verbal communication are clarified, and a research part. The research examines the respondents' attitudes and knowledge about nonverbal communication and its impact on business negotiations. In this paper, the concepts of business negotiations and non-verbal communication will be explained, and based on research, the awareness of business negotiators about the importance of non-verbal communication will be examined. It has shown that respondents recognize the importance of non-verbal communication in business negotiations, and how non-verbal communication can be practiced. All respondents believe that certain signs of non-verbal communication can be misinterpreted. They are also of the opinion that non-verbal communication can change the meaning of what is said, and that it has a great impact on the success of business negotiations.
