It is hard to imagine living without a computer and the internet nowadays. Living in the digital era requires consistently adapting to new trends and constant changes. Almost all businesses are becoming computerised and we are forced to keep up with the trends. The aim of this paper is to look into digital transformation and information technology through theoretical background and empirical research. Primary and secondary data sources were used for the purposes of the paper. Digitalisation affects all aspects of society and opens up new opportunities. By using digital solutions, everything can be done in a smarter way for less time. Digital resources are a competitive advantage for those who know how to efficiently use them. By using new technologies, a whole business, business model or production can be reorganised. Digital transformation impacts the value creation process. Progress has been made regarding digital transformation in Croatia and it is increasingly apparent that digital transformation brings enhanced business access. The empirical research in this paper analyses the degree of acceptance of digital transformation by bank employees. Participants are to a large extent willing to accept and implement digitalisation in their everyday tasks. Even though digital transformation is very popular, even larger implementation and representation in everyday life is expected. Digital technologies are surely changing the world and initiating the transformation of life.
