In today's time of growth and development of a large number of organizations, great emphasis is placed on human resources and realizing the maximum potential of the workforce. In order to achieve the best possible business results and increase the productivity of the organization, it is necessary to pay attention to employee satisfaction. Human resources management is responsible for human needs and productivity of employees, and the head of the team should be a person who has certain knowledge, expertise, skills and abilities to manage people, a person who has power and authority over employees in order to achieve organizational goals. Each leader is an individual for himself and determines how he will use the power he possesses, which largely depends on the character and ego of the person. According to previous research, leaders attract followers in three possible ways. The first source is the power of the role, which enables the leader to influence people due to the position in the hierarchy he is on, and therefore has a great influence on the execution of tasks. Another source is the power of knowledge or expertise of managers, which ensures influence over people. The third source is the power of personality, which refers to the attitude and charisma of a person who influences his employees. The goal of every leader is to influence subordinate employees in different ways in order to improve the productivity of the organization and reduce disagreements and conflicts. Likewise, leaders are people who make important decisions for which it is essential that they have the support of employees who will help in their implementation. For good management, apart from the fact that it is important to know the employees well, it is also very important to know the techniques of achieving power and authority, by means of which it is possible to achieve goals more easily. Leadership techniques as well as their positive and negative aspects are discussed in more detail in this paper.
