Abstract
Ovaj rad bavi se povezanošću između tradicionalno prihvaćene racionalnosti i bihevioralnih faktora s posebnim naglaskom na ponašanje studentske populacije. Svrha istraživanja ovog diplomskog rada je razumjeti povezanost između racionalnosti i bihevioralne ekonomije. Dugo vremena, ekonomska teorija smatrala je ljude racionalnim akterima koji maksimiziraju korist. Međutim, bihevioralna ekonomija uvodi psihološke i emocionalne čimbenike u proces donošenja odluka. Stoga, rad započinje... More definiranjem pojma racionalnosti kao osnovne postavke tradicionalne ekonomske teorije s posebnim naglaskom na koncept homo economicusa. Nakon povijesnog pregleda, izložene su glavne kritike takvog pristupa. U daljnjem radu iznesen je pojam bihevioralne ekonomije, te njen povijesni razvoj. Bihevioralna ekonomija uključuje koncepte poput heuristika, pristranosti, uokvirivanja i teorije prospekta koji ranije nisu prepoznati u tradicionalnim modelima. Prema tome, cilj ovog rada je istražiti do koje mjere iracionalni faktori utječu na odluke studenata. Koristeći anketni upitnik istraženo je kako različite heuristike i pristranosti utječu na donošenje odluka. Rezultati pokazuju da su studenti također pod utjecajem bihevioralnih pristranosti koje mogu utjecati na njihovu sposobnost donošenja racionalnih odluka. Kroz provedeno istraživanje, utvrđeno je da njihovo ponašanje varira, iako nisu čisto racionalni akteri, nisu ni u potpunosti vođeni bihevioralnim faktorima. Stoga, integracija saznanja iz različitih disciplina, kao što su psihologija, sociologija i ekonomija, omogućava bihevioralnoj ekonomiji da pruži sveobuhvatniji i dublji uvid u mehanizme ljudskog odlučivanja. Kako društvo postaje sve složenije, ovaj multidisciplinarni pristup nudi ključne spoznaje i resurse za bolje razumijevanje i oblikovanje strategija koje vode do informiranijih odluka. Less
Abstract (english)
This paper addresses the connection between traditionally accepted rationality and behavioral factors, with a particular emphasis on the behavior of the student population. The purpose od this master's research is to understand the relationship between rationality and behavioral economics. For a long time, economic theory viewed people as rational actors maximizing benefits. However, behavioral economics introduces psychological and emotional factors into the decision-making... More process. Therefore, the paper begins by defining the concept of rationality as the fundamental premise of traditional economic theory, especially focusing on the concept of homo economicus. After a historical overview, the main critiques of this approach are presented. The work then introduces the concept of behavioral economics and its historical development. Behavioral economics encompasses concepts like heuristics, biases, framing, and prospect theory, which were not acknowledged in traditional models. Consequently, the aim of this paper is to investigate the extent to which irrational factors influence students' decisions. Using a survey questionnaire, it explores how various heuristics and biases affect decision-making. Results indicate that students are also influenced by behavioral biases, which can impact their capacity for rational decision-making. The conducted research shows that students are not entirely driven by behavioral factors either. Hence, integrating knowledge form various disciplines such as psychology, sociology, and economics allows behavioral economics to provide a more comprehensive and deeper insight into human decision-making mechanisms. As society becomes increasingly complex, this multidisciplinary approach offers crucial insights and resources for better understanding and shaping strategies leading to more informed decisions. Less
