Abstract
Pojam društvene odgovornosti se u poslovanju pojavljuje u 1960-im godinama. Od tada pa do danas postoji sve veći pritisak društva na organizacije kako bi počele implementirati načela društvene odgovornosti u vlastitom poslovanju. Sam pojam društvene odgovornosti se, najjednostavnije rečeno, odnosi na uvažavanje dobrobiti društva prilikom donošenja odluka koje se tiču organizacije te se ona dijeli se na ekološku odgovornost, etičku, filantropsku i ekonomsku odgovornost. Iako je ovaj pojam... More poznat već desetljećima, brojna poduzeća još uvijek nisu uočila važnost društveno odgovornog poslovanja te se sa socijalnim zahtjevima suočavaju opstruktivnom strategijom. Ipak, ozbiljnija poduzeća primjenjuju proaktivnu strategiju i posljedično se susreću sa brojnim pozitivnim učincima društveno odgovornog poslovanja poput dobre reputacije, većeg broja partnera koji žele surađivati sa poduzećem jer ono odiše povjerenjem i slično. Globalizacija je korporacijama otvorila vrata za međunarodna tržišta, a s time se razvio i pojam međunarodnog menadžmenta. Taj pojam se odnosi na upravljanje poslovanjem na međunarodnoj, globalnoj razini. Kako međunarodni menadžeri često upravljaju velikim brojem ljudi, tako se javljaju i značajniji etički problemi, kušnje i izazovi, a menadžerima je zadatak na pravi način savladati takve izazove. Organizacije trebaju stvoriti takve etičke kodekse koji će biti prihvatljivi na globalnom tržištu gdje postoje različite kulture, životni stilovi i vrijednosti. Kritična područja etike u međunarodnom menadžmentu su mito i korupcija, davanje poklona u poslovnom svijetu, zapošljavanje djece i maloljetnika, piratstvo, prodaja štetnih proizvoda u strane zemlje te špijunaža. Nažalost, postoje brojni primjeri gdje organizacije ne pridodaju nikakvu važnost društveno odgovornom poslovanju, korporativna odgovornost gotovo da i ne postoji, a etički kodeksi se ne poštuju. Less
Abstract (english)
The concept of social responsibility emerged in business in the 1960s. Since then, society has put increasing pressure on companies to implement the principles of social responsibility in their own business. The concept of social responsibility, in simple terms, refers to the consideration of the well-being of society in decisions that affect the organization and is divided into environmental, ethical, philanthropic and economic responsibility. More decades, many companies have still not recognized the importance of socially responsible practices and are meeting societal demands with an inhibiting strategy. However, more serious companies apply a proactive strategy and consequently face numerous positive effects of socially responsible action, such as a good reputation, a greater number of partners who want to work with the company because it exudes trust, etc. Globalization has opened the door to international markets for companies, and with it the concept of international management has developed. This term refers to managing a company on an international, global scale. As international managers often manage a larger number of people, significant ethical issues, temptations and challenges also arise, and the task of managers is to manage these challenges in the right way. Companies should create such ethical codes that are acceptable in the global market where there are different cultures, lifestyles and values. Critical areas of ethics in international management are bribery and corruption, giving gifts in business, employing children and minors, product piracy, selling harmful products to foreign countries, and espionage.
