The subject of the thesis is family entrepreneurship. The purpose of the graduate paper is to investigate family entrepreneurship and its specificities. The aims are to explain and define family entrepreneurship and to identify its specifics, as well as to show the functioning of a family business using a concrete example of good practice. Through the theoretical part of the graduate thesis, one gets to know the previous knowledge about family entrepreneurship, and in the empirical part, through the family business, the Jadranka Plužarić Health Care Institution, one gets an insight into the operations of a family business that has been successfully operating for almost thirty years. The research methods used in the thesis are: compilation method, description method, interview method and case study method. In the paper it is shown the complexity of family business operations, it is realized that family entrepreneurship carries with it certain advantages and disadvantages, and the conclusion is reached that the success of a family business is influenced by various factors, but that the greatest influence is the family, the abilities of family members as well as the willingness of family members to build a quality, stable and successful family business through joint cooperation that will successfully overcome all challenges, problems and obstacles that arise in business. The assumption is that family entrepreneurship will gain additional importance in the future and will have an even greater impact on the economy and society, and that even more family businesses will appear in the future that will continue to change the world with their products, services and business models.
