Abstract | Tema ovoga rada su izazovi digitalne transformacije EU i RH uz poseban naglasak Internet stvari (engl. Internet of Things, IoT). |
Abstract (english) | The topic of this paper is the challenges of digital transformation of the EU and the Republic of Croatia, with a special focus on the Internet of Things (IoT). This is a technology that collects data about various devices and transmits them for processing by various devices and software solutions locally or through web applications using Internet protocols. Nowadays, a large amount of data is collected, analyzed, processed, and distributed in various ways over the Internet to enable human or machine activities. Therefore, the aim of the paper is to show, through examples, how a process of collection, analysis and distribution takes place, as well as the actual application of such data, which usually belongs to the group of so-called Big Data. In this final paper, the concept and the term will be explained, but also the challenges of digital transformation of EU member states will be highlighted, with special reference to the problem (potential) in Croatia. Moreover, in the theoretical part, the concept of Internet objects is analyzed and Big Data Analytics is presented (along with a case analysis). The concept of Internet objects and the development of technology have really taken off in recent years, so it is not uncommon that today every slightly larger company, regardless of what it produces, wants to include the possibility of control via cell phones or laptops in its devices. Mostly, it's about making life easier for users and providing them with all the important information about the devices that will always be available to them. |
