Abstract
Gig ekonomija je pojam za koji postoje razne definicije koje su međusobno povezane te je najjednostavnije shvaćanje da predstavlja slobodno tržište zapošljavanja putem platformi. Gig ekonomija je novi pojam koji je napravio preokret u svijetu zbog svog utjecaja na gospodarstvo. Razvoj tehnologije i drugačiji način života utjecali su na promjene i stvaranje novih radnih mjesta i alternativne mogućnosti zarade stanovništva odnosno stvaranja alternativnih mogućnosti zapošljavanja kao što je gig ekonomija. Ovaj rad daje pregled definicija gig ekonomije, te su u radu opisane prednosti i nedostaci tržišta koja djeluje putem platformi te predstavljene različite generacije koje su sudionici gig ekonomije. Sudionici su čak četiri generacije koje različito djeluju unutar ovog tržišta i imaju različita očekivanja od istog, a to su generacije Z, Y, X i baby boomer-i. Empirijski dio rada donosi analizu platformi koje su temelj gig ekonomije, a koje su prisutne u Hrvatskoj. Najkorištenije platforme tj. aplikacije u Hrvatskoj su Uber, Glovo te Wolt i Bolt, a u radu putem aplikacija sudjeluje preko 100 000 Hrvata. Nadalje, provedeno je istraživanje putem upitnika koje je ispitivalo percepcije i iskustva različitih generacija u gig ekonomiji.
Abstract (english)
Gig economy is a term for which there are various definitions that are interlinked. The simplest understanding is that it is a free employment market through platforms. The gig economy is a new term that has taken the world by storm due to its impact on the economy. The development of technology and a different way of life has influenced change and the creation of new jobs and alternative ways of earning for the population, i.e. the creation of alternative employment opportunities such as the gig economy. This paper gives an overview of the definitions of the gig economy, describes the advantages and disadvantages of the market that works through platforms and introduces the different generations involved in the gig economy. The participants are four generations that behave differently in this market and have different expectations of it, namely generations Z, Y, X and the baby boomers. The empirical part of the paper contains an analysis of the platforms that form the basis of the gig economy and that exist in Croatia. The most used platforms, i.e. applications, in Croatia are Uber, Glovo, Wolt and Bolt, and over 100,000 Croatians participate in work via platforms. In addition, a survey was conducted through a questionnaire that examined the perceptions and experiences of different generations in the gig economy.
