Abstract
Ovaj diplomski rad daje kratak opis važnih pojmova u blockchainu kao što su povijesni razvoj, arhitektura blockchaina, funkcioniranje blockchaina, vrste mreže te algoritam blockchaina. Blockchain tehnologija se ističe svojom inovativnom distribuiranom prirodom koja omogućuje verifikaciju transakcija putem decentraliziranog sustava. Sigurnost je jedan od ključnih aspekata, budući da blockchain pruža visoku razinu zaštite transakcija kroz kriptografske tehnike. Transparentnost je također... More značajna, jer omogućuje svim sudionicima u transakcijama da prate svaki korak transakcije, smanjujući mogućnost prijevara i povećavajući povjerenje. Efikasnost je dodatna prednost, jer transakcije putem blockchain tehnologije obavljaju se brže i bez potrebe za posrednicima, čime se smanjuju troškovi i vrijeme provedeno u financijskim transakcijama. Kroz analizu primjera primjene blockchain tehnologije u bankarstvu na primjerima JP Morgan Chase, HSBC, Santander i Barclays, ovaj rad istražuje konkretne prakse sa svim svojim prednostima i nedostacima. Također, u radu su objašnjeni i izazovi koji proizlaze iz uvođenja ove inovativne tehnologije u bankarski sektor. Rezultati ovog istraživanja pružaju relevantan uvid u potencijalne prednosti i izazove koje donosi integracija blockchain tehnologije u bankarski sektor, nudeći smjernice za buduće strategije implementacije i razvoja u financijskom poslovanju. Abstract (english)
This thesis provides a brief description of important concepts in blockchain, including its historical development, blockchain architecture, blockchain functionality, types of networks, and blockchain algorithm. Blockchain technology stands out due to its innovative distributed nature, which enables transaction verification through a decentralized system. Security is one of the key aspects, as blockchain offers a high level of protection for transactions through cryptographic... More techniques Transparency is also significant, as it allows all participants in transactions to monitor every step of the transaction, reducing the possibility of fraud and increasing trust. Efficiency is an additional advantage, as transactions via blockchain technology are completed faster and without the need for intermediaries, thereby reducing costs and time spent on financial transactions. Through an analysis of examples of the application of blockchain technology in banking, with case studies such as JP Morgan Chase, HSBC, Santander, and Barclays, this paper explores concrete practices along with their advantages and disadvantages. The paper also explains the challenges that arise from introducing this innovative technology into the banking sector. The results of this research provide a relevant insight into the potential benefits and challenges that the integration of blockchain technology brings to the banking sector, offering guidelines for future implementation and development strategies in financial operations.
