Blockchain technology stands out due to its innovative distributed nature, which enables transaction verification through a decentralized system. Security is one of the key aspects, as blockchain offers a high level of protection for transactions through cryptographic techniques Transparency is also significant, as it allows all participants in transactions to monitor every step of the transaction, reducing the possibility of fraud and increasing trust. Efficiency is an additional advantage, as transactions via blockchain technology are completed faster and without the need for intermediaries, thereby reducing costs and time spent on financial transactions. Through an analysis of examples of the application of blockchain technology in banking, with case studies such as JP Morgan Chase, HSBC, Santander, and Barclays, this paper explores concrete practices along with their advantages and disadvantages.
