Food needs are both indisputable and daily, and food market is a political issue, so the goal of each country is to meet the greatest number of needs with its own production, but in the race its often forgotten that with conventional agriculture we pollute the enviroment and food itself. The distribution covers various jobs that are being undertaken so that agri-food products are transferred faster from the producer to the consumer. The distribution for organic food producers has a very important role since ecological food products can only be sold when they are affordable in a timely and convenient way to the consumer. The goal of ecological agriculture is to produce high quality food that will contribute to the preservation of human health, the protection of the environment, the maintenance of the biodiversity of the ecosystem and the reduction of all forms of pollution caused by it. In recent times, the problem of unhealthy eating has become more and more evident, as well as the need and aspiration of people to eat healthy, and on the other hand there are failures in the production and distribution of food products. In Croatia, there are opportunities for organic food production and producers’ wishes for this type of production, but the biggest problems occur in distribution and at the right price. Croatia is known for its natural heritage and a large number of protected areas as well as neglected, ecologically clean agricultural areas that are suitable for the development of ecological agriculture.
